Hi all,

I recently kicked out windows and installed ubuntu. Everything went well until my laptop exchanged this life for another. The motherboard suffered irrepairable damage and so I'm on my girlfrieds mac now. I'd love to install ubuntu on it but as she likes using mac os i'd like to have a dual boot. Is it enough that I install ubuntu and indicate not to use the whole disk space? Or do i need to do anything else to be sure that none of her stuff gets lost?

Thanks in advance for you help!

Maarten

I don't think Mac Ubuntu is supported any longer, although you might be able to install it. See the Apple Users forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=328).

Mate of mine uses Parallels on his mac to tri boot windows and ubuntu works something like wubi but better, i think all the non mac files are on a external device that he uses.
I have seen him copy files from one os to another whilst still in the mac os.
