I have used Ubuntu without at all Windows since Hardy was released. So, no Windows, just Ubuntu, that is all I needed. Well recently I have been looking through some stuff and found some games that I bought some time last year, and never got the chance to play through them. So, with my Christmas money and other working money I will be coming into, I decided I will build a new computer and install Windows, (Of course, dual boot with Ubuntu) to play these games, and to keep out of the way of my laptop, which will stay Ubuntu only. :-) Anyway, I will try to see if I can get them to run in Wine and Crossover Games (thank you Lame Duck!) in the meantime. In any case, what do you think about this setup? (yes I know I do not have a HDD here, I have a few lying around):

Ah, yes my bad... I also have two of these lying around, next to the hard drive :-)

I will be using an Antec 500W.

I would prefer a Quad core Q6600 instead of E8400 .. it costs 179$ at Newegg and around 160 on ebay

Thanks for the suggestion! I think a few bucks more for a quad-core would be worth it.

Just curious: which version of Windows are you putting on it? Vista or XP?

I really do not know, honestly either will work for me.
