I do not know what happened to my system, but now it will no longer boot to Ubuntu 8.10. Have just one computer now and can get to internet only by windows xp. Yes it used to boot to Ubuntu 8.10 no problem. All I did was unplug my computer from the wall electrical outlet for about 2 or 3 hours. So I decided to try and restore my system from a Ubuntu 8.10 live CD and the CD will not boot either and I tried safe graphics mode and many other commands to get the live CD to boot and it is a big no go.
