I run both Windows XP and Ubuntu 8.10 by dual-booting on my Acer 4315 laptop. The wireless is working fine on XP and eventually on Ubuntu as well after following this guide: http://madberry.org/2008/11/how-to-get-atheros-ar242x-to-work-on-810-intrepid-ibex/

...until... i suddenly lost connection to my private wireless network in Ubuntu. Booted up XP and it worked fine there. Rebooted and started in Ubuntu, didn't work. After some tweaking I decided to plug in to the wired network which means i had to move the laptop close to the modem and the wireless router. As i came close to the wireless router it got connected again to the wireless network!

I tried it again a few times after being disconnected in the same way and same thing happened. Why is this? Is there any solution? I really don't want to take a walk with my laptop every 15 minutes or so.

Thanks!
Bulan
