ok i want to switch to linux am i going to have any problems witht his hardware setup if so which drivers will i need

I don't see how you would have a problem with your pc. And of course, you can always try Ubuntu first with the LiveCD before you install it.

cool man thanks what about my belkin 54g usb wi-fi dongle thats the thing im most worried about. the model number is F5D7050

I agree w/ trying out the LiveCD for as much daily usage stuff as possible. This will help you learn your way around the distro and also help you understand the terminology/things we reference here on the forums. I had my folks use a LiveCD for 3 months prior to them installing and low and behold they've been using Ubuntu for over a year now. =]

Plus if you do run into any issues, you can always post here and wait for assistance.
