View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Update manager doesn't show 8.10 upgrade available anymore.

I looked at the guide to network update from 8.04 to 8.10 on the website and did what it said. It worked fine. The message in the update manager offering upgrade appeared and I clicked upgrade. Part way through, it gave a warning that it would take over 10 hours! It being on a laptop, and me not being at home at the time, I cancelled thinking 'I'll do it later'. Later arrived but Update Manager is no longer offering the update. I went through the online guide again, but with no luck. How do I get the upgrade started again?

Let's have a look at your /etc/apt/sources.list to see if the system has already switched from hardy to intrepid.

Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal

cat /etc/apt/sources.list
