I got another Problem with my NC10.
When i plug in my headphones the intern speakers of the netbook are still playing the sound and dont mute as they should.
Is there any solution to mute them. I would even be glad if theres only a manually way to mute the speakers and play sound on the headphones, but in the soundmenu i found no options for it.
I hope you understood what i was meaning. Otherwise i will try it again.
Thx Simaryp

Try this workaround:

Hi im a bit of newbie when it comes to linux but very pleased with the istallation of ubuntu intrepid on my nc10 thanks to the wealth of input from everyone. Only major issue is with the above prob of internal speakers not muting when headphones inserted. The fix states it will brick the sound on kernel 2.6.27-9 which mine is! So can anyone point me towards a working fix that will work on this kernel? many thanks Paul

Thanks anyway Jon but this is the write up i was going to use, but first line states only works on 2.6.27-7 kernel but not 2.6.27-9 as it disables sound and cant be reversed! im sure as more nc10s get ubuntu a fix will be found for the latest kernel.
