Hey guys/gals,

I have excellent news to tell you all - I don't need Windows (Vista Ultimate) anymore! I found that everything I do can all be done in Ubuntu, and now I can come fully into the light!

I hit a road block though. I like my Ubuntu configuration on my laptop. I don't want to have to install it again. Do you guys know how to take a dual-booted system (with Windows as the first OS), and then make Ubuntu the only OS with one partition - without formatting the whole drive and reinstalling?

Thanks y'all, and thank you Ubuntu! I now have 4GB of RAM that will be put to good use, instead of wasted on Vista!

Ubuntu, you rock.

If you boot the Ubuntu live CD you can use gparted delete your Vista partition and grow your Ubuntu partition to fill the space. You may have to reinstall GRUB after that, though.

Here's a tutorial on reinstalling GRUB: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RecoveringUbuntuAfterInstallingWindows
