The upgrade went swimmingly. Both of them. I went from 7.10 to 8.04 to 8.10.
The only problem was the sound in firefox. I had the same problem in the past, but after a short time it just seemed to right itself???
I had to do the fix a while ago for video and audio on the BBC. Now it's just audio that is lost. In everything.
Plus... I tried to remove firefox, so as to try installing it again, but after I did that from synaptic package manager and 'add/remove', it just loaded up again as if it wasn't removed.
