I have an 80GB hard drive and due to finances/time I am just gonna use it. My primary OS will be Ubuntu and the only reason I would be booting into Windows would be for MS only software or to play games that just won't run well in Wine.

So, right now I have my Windows partition, my /home partition and everything else on /. My problem is that I want to give Windows as little space as possible and /home as much as possible.

1. So what would be be the littlest amount of space I can get away with for / not including /home?

2. I want to be able to read/write my ext3 partitions from Vista, what software would you suggest to best accomplish this?

3. Should I just stick to using Vista as my gaming OS and Linux as everything else or should I try and use Wine from Linux or something else?

10 gigs for Ubuntu, 30 gigs for Vista (need room for games), and 40 gigs for home.
