1. To learn new things about Linux and Ubuntu.
2. To hopefully help others.
3. I enjoy reading post from people from all over the world.

This forum has been invaluable. Doubt I'd be here without it.

Initially it was to get support, now it's mainly to give it (and lurk in the Otaku thread (: ). Since I'm getting free software, I might as well try and give something back...

I put the last six things. By "Other", I guess I include Free-Libre software advocacy. As well, the self-serving motivation to get more people to use Ubuntu so that Free and open source software will get even better.

To be part of a community

To learn tips and tricks - I wanna learn everything that has to do with Linux and Ubuntu.

To give help (basic desktop support) - I am still a n00b, but I do have courage to teach/give support to those who has faced the SAME problem as me or that I know the answer.

To get help (basic desktop support) - As a newbie, I really need support/help. Ah, and I don't hesitate to ask questions, since I know people here are helpful, and thus I also try to be helpful to others who are newer than me [And return to To give help (basic desktop support) ]

1. First came here to get help.
2. Then kept checking the forum occationaly for no reason when feeling bored.
3. I realized after a while that I learn more from looking for people to help in the beginners section then from the way too few problems I experience first hand.

Originally: to get support

Now: I enjoy the community, I want to give back by trying to help others when I can, and sometimes stuff happens/is said in these forums that amuses me terribly (in other words, it's a fun place to hang out).
