Hard Drive Mounting Question

I have searched the forums and couldn't find what i was looking for.

I was wondering is it was possible to mount more than one hard drive to a single mount point and if you could is that ok to do or would it cause some long term effect? Essentially i would like to have just one large folder to store media and not have to worry about which hard drive it is on and whether or not the hard drive is full. If i am going about this the wrong way does anyone have any suggestions?
