Cant play games on full screen

hello i got an ATI graphic card and when i try to play a game in full scrreeen it appear like black with some lines and u cant see anything
help me please

your going to need to post what hardware you have and prob what games you have tried.
if your using wine have you checked their data base to see if those games are compatible?
have you loaded the drivers for the video card?
are you trying to play games you got off of the add/remove applications?

yesss i have tried almost all games like super tux 2 assault cube and urban terror

by wine i can play urban terror but i dont understand by why with just wine not just from the desktop

i tried assault cube by wine and didnt work all looks strange though i dont remember what Ati Card i got but its renderon something like that
