Hello fellow linux users.
I have ben using ubuntu for about a year now with great success!

I have now got a freind of mine willing to try ubuntu on his Acer travelmate 6404 laptop.
Everything goes well with installation, but after a few minutes everyhing but the mouse freze up. :(
Nothing can be done eccept hard reboot. (powerbutton for 4 sek).
It happens at no special behaviour from the user. Just tying to open the time settings on the menubar causes totally hang.
Nothin in the logs. ( as far is I can see).

I checked the forum for similar problems, bu has not found any.
Eccept maybe something about ACPI.
After work I will try to look in the bios to see if I can try to disable i there.
If not I need to find the receipt on how to disable it in ubuntu 8.10.
That is, If it may help with the hang problems we are having.
