No Videos After Installing Upgrade

Howdy, just went from 8.04 to 8.10 via live disk installation. The only hiccup seems to be not being able to see any videos through Firefox (which I didn't seem to have a problem with before). I've checked plugins and apparently have Flash, but I don't know what else I should be downloading or installing to make everything useful.

You need flashplugin-nonfree installed. Is that already in place?

I checked under Add/Remove: I had Macromedia Flash installed, but with a hunch, I downloaded and installed what came up right under it (Ubuntu restricted extras). That seemed to do the trick.
