I wish to reinstall my system (8.10) and I want to save and backup my personal compiz settings.

Can someone explain to me what exactly to backup and how to restore compiz with my personal settings after my system is reinstalled?
I also wish to transfer my personal settings to a other system, so I wish to duplicate the settings, how can I do this?

I cannot find any backup or restore option in the compiz manager....

Who can advise me?

Hey b3rt. Backing up Compiz is pretty straightforward. Fireup CCSM and go to preferences (lower left hand corner) and you can backup a configuration file from there. Just export, save it somewhare, put it on the new machine and import it.

It happens. Took me a while to find that the first time. Remember to mark thread as solved.
