Hi all,

First, I'd like to say that since installing Ubuntu 8.10 it's been the most impressive and seamless distribution I've yet experienced.

Anyway, my issue is with the updates installing services that I've specifically removed. For instance, I stopped CUPS and removed the service but now every update wants to install the latest version and hence start the service up again.

So, my question is, is there I way I can configure the update service to only offer the updates for services and software that I have running?
