View Full Version : [ubuntu] After upgrade to 8.10 - Acronis confused

I had been using Acronis True Image software (booting from a rescue CD) to make backup images of my Hardy Heron installation with no problems. After installing 8.10 from scratch and working fine I tried to use Acronis to make a backup image but it claimed there was an error on the hard drive and I needed to repair that or it could only make a backup "sector by sector". I forced 8.10 to do a disk check upon boot and it got through that, I don't think any errors were found. Anyway the system runs fine but Acronis still claims there is a disk error of some kind.

Is there any other "repairs" that can be done or checks that can be done to the drive, or do you think the disk is OK and Acronis is confused?

Note: I did just now see another thread on this issue, and it appears there are really no errors on the drive.
