Today's been a mostly boring day, I think the highlight was making some fruit salad. Have you had an exciting day? A boring day? What made it exciting or boring?

this morning, I slept in.

then I woke up, and drank some coffee.

Later, I got on the computer.

Now, I shall have a jaunty chat with nathangrubb, and eat a sandwich.

I believe that shall be the highlight of my day.

Seeing that all next week will be cold.
And by cold I mean 40-45f low and 65-70f high.

Yeah, I live in Florida.

Highlight?

Brewed my first batch of Christmas beer.

But then a friend talked me into going to see Quantum of Solarice.

Swing and roundabouts I suppose.

Lowlight: took a 4-hour-long ACT prep test. Boring beyond imagining.

Highlight: had a clarinet lesson.

Hmmm beer. What kind of christmas beer did you put down? I spent last tuesday morning bottling up some berry wheat. Not sure what to put down next.
Highlight for today would have to be waking up next to a naked young redhead. Went downhill from there since this is a workday for me. I'll be stuck here looking busy till about midnight my time.

Nothing that special to be honest, just a tried and tested Hobgoblin recipe. Lovely brew, dark (more reddish), bit of head, slight fruit taste with just a hint of toffee/chocolate.

There's a recipe I've been meaning to try for an chocolate oatmeal stout, now that really would be an excellent Christmas brew.

Sounds nice. I go back and forth between very hoppy IPAish beers and dark malty beers. Are you using any software to track your brewing? I've thought about giving qbrew a try. Right now all my records are on various sheets of paper stuck here and there in my garage and mudroom.

qbrew is o.k. but very limited compared to some. Beersmith works fine under Wine and well worth the money. Personally I through together an AJAX website for myself to calculate recipes ;) Still needs a bit of work as I realised today that IBU/EBU calculation broke in some circumstances.

You could give Beer Engine (http://www.practicalbrewing.co.uk/BeerEngineSetUp.exe) a try. Again works under Wine and was written by the great Graham Wheeler himself. Bit weird it being a windows app as I'm sure he uses Redhat. :/

I've got it installing at the house right now. That gives me something to play with to make the workday pass quicker. Thanks

Now I'm looking for a way to change the units. My brain is stuck thinking in gallons and ounces when it comes to beer. It does look nice though.

I watched the new James Bond 007 movie this afternoon. It wasn't as good as Casino Royale though.

Room is slightly tidier, and managed to watch: Resident Evil 3, Indiana Jones 3 and Jurassic Park 3. Three good trilogy savers. I didn't watch new James Bond, I think that's a plus as well :P
