I just installed ubuntu 8.04 on my desktop, had no sound. So I did some searching and installed the drivers for my motherboard, now it sounds like everything is being used as bass.
I'm using a dual boot with xp and its all good on xp but not so much with the ubuntu side.
My motherboard is the gigabtye ga m61p s3 model, i'm using the onbaord sound. The codec is alc883.
Any suggestions on what to do?
