View Full Version : [ubuntu] Reset theme, how?

November 15th, 2008, 10:24 PM

I had a good play with some theme modifications from http://www.gnome-look.org. I eventually landed up being unable to change the folder icon to anything other than one of Ubuntu's default themes :-(

I get a "theme cannot be deleted" error when attempting to delete any of the new icon themes ;-(

I've gone the full hog of running the below command as root in my /home/username directory

rm -rf .gnome .gnome2 .gconf .gconfd .icons .themes .fonts

The icon themes are still there?

How can I remove the evilness of www.gnome-look.org from my system?

Running Ubuntu 8.1 without any compositing managers.
