im installing my IRC server again and i was using IRCD-hybrid before and wish to use it again.
The only problem is i have since upgraded to ubuntu 8.10 and it is now being difficult to install the source.
i am doing as followed
downloading latest IRCD-hybrid package form sourceforge.
saving it to my home dir
extracting it to a folder called ircd.
then i do
cd ./ircd
./configure
make
sudo make install
It gets a error unless i install as root. which from what i can remember was not like this before.
Once the install process is finished it doesn't seem to be complete as it is not create the 'int.d/ircd-hybrid' files.
Any help would b much appreciated as i am totally lost on this one.
