View Full Version : [xubuntu] Xubuntu 8.04.1 on a USBFlashDrive -- slight error

I recently put Xubuntu 8.04.1 onto my 2gb flash drive. It boots fine and allows me to run it live, however it "freezes" when I ask it to shutdown the computer and turns off (unmounts) the flash drive instead.

I did an integrity check, which came back saying 4 files were corrupted. What's the chance those four files only pertain to the live boot and wouldn't effect an actual install--it took me awhile to do this, I'm not looking forward to repeating the process.

My laptop doesn't have an optical drive and this is how I plan on installing Xubuntu.

Is there a way to fix the errors on the flash drive without redoing the process?
