Today seems to be my day for problems.
I have an NVidia 6200 LE graphics card that I've been running in Feisty for a while with good results. A few weeks ago, I installed Hardy from CD, and ever since then, I've noticed that the video has been a bit choppy. Back in Feisty, I used to get an NVidia splash screen that's been missing since the upgrade.
Today I decided to investigate my lackluster video performance, so I started poking around. I noticed that, unlike Feisty, I was not using the NVidia restricted drivers. So, I enabled them and rebooted. I ended up booting up in safe graphics mode.
After doing some reading, I decided to install EnvyNG, which gives me three different driver choices. I tried them all, and one seemed to work quite well. The problem is that after I reboot, it goes right back into safe graphics mode.
Now, no matter what I try, I can't seem to get the thing to boot up properly in the proper resolution. Is there anything else I haven't tried?
