Current ubuntu-version of the browser (3.0.3) has several known security vulnerabilities.

I dont know but i am using firefox 3.1 and it is perfect (it only crashed one ,firefox 3.x does this usually ony my box) and it is faster than chrome.

Thanks, I might try it, it I continue using Hurdy. But I still wonder why Firefox is not updated in the officially supported repositories of Ubuntu Hurdy; it is one of the core applications in Ubuntu desktop.

Wow, Your using Chrome in Ubuntu already? I'm using it in my Windows/Ubuntu Dual boot and it's way faster, at least in Windows, than firefox. I'm just curious, was it easy to install in Ubuntu? Thanks for your replay ahead of time.

I am not using chrome, chrome linux is not released yet..Firefox 3.1's javascript engine is faster than chrome.
