The community docs about the restricted formats has not been updated for 8.10 ?

Do we do it the same as in 8.04 ?

Just tried it:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
[sudo] password for masteradmin:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package ubuntu-restricted-extras

What about flashplugin-nonfree ???

Make sure you have all the repositories enabled in System-->Administration-->Software Sources. Then update the repositories. I always find it easier to us Synaptic to install all the packages I need when doing a clean installation. The nonfree flash plugin is included in the ubuntu-restricted-extras meta package.
