Cursor effect on application start in Ubuntu 8.10

hello,

the new Ubuntu has a cool effect and I wonder if it's part of compiz fusion.

When you start an application, e.g. Firefox via the panel, the icon of the app quickly grows bigger around the cursor.

If you turn off 3D effects, the effect disappears.

I wonder, what the name of the effect is and if I can get it for other distributions. like in which package it is.

I got a reply in the compiz fusion forum, where I was told that it was an effect of ubuntu, not of compiz fusion.
