Hi community,

Coming here after a couple of unsuccessfull posts on the french forums...

Since I upgraded to Intrepid, all my Qt applications (Virtualbox, Quantum GIS, LyX) have the same issue when I try to launch them : they just don't show up, while using at least 50% of CPU... Untill I manually kill the application.

With Quantum GIS, I noticed (thanks to the splash screen indications) the link with Qt while reading an eternal "setting up GUI".

Every idea is welcome ! Thanks :)

What happens when you launch them from a terminal?
What error messages, if any, do you get?

Hi nikgare, thanks for answering.

For QGIS, Lyx and VirtualBox : same symptoms. The process starts, uses a lot of CPU, but nothing launches.
Looks like it's waiting for something, even the terminal is "in progress". It lasts untill I stop it manually.

Have you rebooted?

I have the same problem.QT applications just start using a lot of ram and never start.Even qtconfig won't start.Nothing in the console.

PS:Reinstalling qt4 didn't help.
