I wonder how long it'll take before we can see devices with USB 3.0 in the mainstream market.

For sustained throughput I will put my money on Firewire 3200 but we will have to wait and see I suppose.

Surely for most tasks you're going to strike a bottleneck in storage that will prevent you from getting anywhere near those speeds?
