When I try and boot or install from the Hardy Live CD, my keyboard wont work.

What happens, is that I'll select one of the options, and they keyboard works (caps lock toggles the caps lock light) right up until the background appears. Then my keyboard doesn't work and nothing further happens. If I'm not mistaken, this also means that X11 isn't loading.

A few additional bits of info. Keyboard interface is PS/2, and the same thing happens when I use a USB keyboard.

I ordered a copy of Intrepid as soon as it came out. Would Intrepid fix things?

Please help, as I really want to get Ubuntu working.

Thanks

-Nik

Edit: Just booted using an old Feisty live CD and that works. What could have changed between feisty and hardy that broke things for me. Probably a lot of things...

Solved it myself. Booted in safe graphics mode and everything went fine.
