konsole profiles in 8.10

I have just upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 and my konsole profiles no longer work.

My profiles do stuff like open multiple sessions on remote machines and local directories.

I see the profiles now reside in .kde/share/apps/konsole rather than .kde/share/apps/konsole/profiles but I cant seem to find anything that will help me migrate them.

Has anyone done this that could help me?

I've been putting off upgrading to kde 4.x because I have been unable to find an answer to this. I work with so many servers that I have created a menu's and sub-menu's with hundreds of konsole --type and -profile commands. I just don't think I can upgrade until I am sure this will work in kde 4.
