I was not sure where to post it, but the Hardware section said it was for problems recognizing the hardware only.

I just received my mighty mouse, I plugged it into the computer, and it worked. Though, I want the scroll wheel to work (it works up, and down, but not in the other 6 points of the compass), the middle click to work, and the squeezing buttons to work as well. My Ubuntu version is 7.10.

I would like the squeezing buttons to launch a specific program like Firefox.

Thanks for any help! :)

I'm not sure if this will help as I'm running Ubuntu 8.10, but try looking at your mouse preferences (System->Preferences->Mouse Preferences). Click on the "Touchpad" tab ontop. On Ubuntu 8.10 there's a check box for "Enable Horizontal Scrolling".

I can verify that on Ubuntu 8.10 at least, it works as I'm using the USB Mighty Mouse right now.

Sorry if it doesn't help...

Hi, there is not an option for Mouse Preferences. Thanks for your help anyway. Nice first post though.

I fixed the scrolling thing, now works.

But still want to configure the squeezing buttons at the side.

Thanks.

Since you're on 7.10, I'm guessing you could use Btnx (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=455656).
