View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Creating Dual Boot on New Drive

Disclaimer: I'm a newbie, so I apologize if I'm asking something that should be obvious...
Could someone please point me to a thread, or tell me what the best approach is, to install a dual boot setup for Windows Vista or XP, and Ubuntu--on a new/blank drive? All the threads I can find assume that you are starting with Windows pre-loaded on a drive.
Many thanks!

I'm still VERY new myself.
Here is a video showing how to install Ubuntu using wubi.

Here is the same guy showing how to install Vista, and Ubuntu without Wubi. This is a 3 part series.

Make sure that you partition correctly for Ubuntu and put the "/" in the right spot if you go about it this route.
I hope you have better luck with Ubuntu than I'm having.
