View Full Version : [ubuntu] How can I reset my WINE configuration? How can I fix this other WINE problem too?

Hooray!

I downloaded a Windows game and got it running NO PROBLEM on my setup. I have a Nvidia GeForce 6800XT with 2 gigs of RAM on a Dual Core 1.8 GHz. Just opened up the executable installer via WINE, installed, and ran the program through WINE. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. Except THIS:

The game doesn't take up the entire screen. THIS MAY BE THE GAMES FAULT. I'm not sure. But I went into the WINE configurations and tried to configure it so the window would stretch to fit my 16:9 screen, and not only would it not work, but NOW I can't get my WINE configuration buttons to appear at the bottom of the screen. They're TOO far in the bottom, and if I try go to the lower screen, it looks all messy like crap. Here's what I'm talking about:

So here's what I need: how can I revert my WINE settings to default first and foremost, AND how do I get this to be set right to run games, not particularly World of Goo (it just looked fun).

THNXINADVANCE!

OKTHXBAI!

Hi,

when I run games under wine I often emulate a windows desktop in an ordinary X-window frame. Under Graphic in wineconfig you can set an appropriate size. That way some problems with windows full screen games and X are eliminated.
