Anyone know of a good weather app to use. I use openbox now for my DE, so I can't really use the Gnome weather app now. I would prefer something like this (http://offload2.icculus.org:9090/openbox/mw/images/1/13/Arch-openbox-rss.jpg).

thx

That looks very much like conky to me. If you have a look round the forums, there's plenty of threads on getting it to show anything you want, weather included.

That looks like superkaramaba. Conky weather icons are displayed in only one color (because they're part of a font, not individual icons).

You should try adesklets or screenlets. Both have good weather displays IIRC.

will adesklets or screenlets be compatible with openbox?

If you're in the UK http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/gadgets/firefox.html will get you a nice weather panel on your dektop that you can localise

@blackened

I will post back here with results.

@Zootropo

I might try this one out, I'm unsure of the idea of having my entire wallpaper as a weather report.

Thanks all If you have anymore suggestions don't hesitate!

alright, so installed screenlets, but fro some reason I am unable to get it to autostart. I followed the instructions they gave here (http://www.screenlets.org/index.php/FAQ#How_do_I_make_my_screenlets_automatically_star t_when_I_login.3F), but it will not autostart. I would be able to add the path of the screenlets to my autostat.sh file but the path they give (http://www.screenlets.org/index.php/FAQ#How_do_I_start.2Flaunch_a_screenlet.3F) does not exist. How can I fix the autostart, or find the correct path?
