Hi,
I can't get Kubuntu 8.10 Interpid to install on my Fujistu Amilo Pro (celeron, 512 MB RAM, SATA drive, S3 Via embedded graphic accelerator) to begin installing (although the same laptop had NO problems installing former 7.x Kubuntu versions a1-2 years ago).
Booting from the CD I select the installation language and then NADA. Whatever option (Live, test mem test media etc. I select afterwards, NOTHING happens). I have tried all noapic nolapic combinations using the F6 and selecting options. However, after these options were marked, once I pressed Esc, these option did NOT appear in the booting options line... (maybe that's the problem).

The media itself (tried 2 copies) is fine (burnt slowly, tested fine on another PC). The iso md5sum signature checked OK. The laptop itself is OK (installed MS not long ago, boots Knoppix fine).

Please advise:
a. How to install Intrepid on my laptop?
b. How to ad boot options?

Thanks up front !
