Show Desktop button toggles now ?

I'm on a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10 and my show desktop button seems to be behaving strangely compared to my other computer.

I'm used to clicking that button and everything gets minimized, however on this new box it seems that that button is now a toggle button & it's driving me nuts.

Is there any way I can get that button to show the desktop every time I click it instead of either showing or hiding all windows depending on what state the toggle is in ? :)

I don't know if I'd call it a bug, it could be considered a feature depending on how you look at it.

I'm curious as to whether it could have something to do with the compiz-fusion I installed.
