aMSN's gename plugin

Hey I installed the Gename plugin but it doens't work. I mean, it's supposed to automatically give me a nickname everytime I start a session, isn't it? The things I did were: I downloaded the plugin, then moved the extracted folder to /usr/share/amsn/plugins, that should have done it, shouldn't it? The plugin appears in the plugin selector box and I can load it but it doesn't do anything. I have the fortune package properly installed. Anybody knows how to make this plugin work?
