I upgraded to 8.10 and now my system freezes every time I log in.
I think the problem may be the video card (Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440).
At this point, I can't keep the system running long enough to try and fix the video card issues.
I've tried using the recovery mode shell prompt, but I don't seem to have network connectivity at that point. Apt-get gives me unknown host errors.
SSH isn't enabled, so I can't open a terminal from another machine.
