Missing Splash Screen Menu

I am missing the Splash Screen option from System>Preferences. It's just flat out, not there...

Any ideas?

Are you running Intrepid? I do, and I don't have one either.

you could install the gnome-splashscreen-manager from synaptic. I don't think I had it in the default install either. Mine was installed when I installed start-up manager (I think).
