i have Ubuntu/Vista partition recently i have done hibernate with Ubuntu(note that hibernation is not working in windows it just logs out)it just don't done successfully and the next time i ran Ubuntu the shutdown option has just disappeared.so i tried to shutdown by command prompt so i typed sudo shutdown now it just takes me to recovery meneu with that - boot normally - run x serverscript- etc etc. i cant get what is the problem now days i use to do shutdown with direct the powerbutton of my laptop thank god i have configured it.
