Since upgrading to Intrepid, I have been having problems with Evolution and Firefox graying out all the time. I can't pin them down to anything - they seem to be pretty much random. My CPU is idle when they happen, so they seem like a wait for a file or thread, or something of that sort.

I've created a new .mozilla file so that old settings would be tossed, but that didn't really fix things for Firefox.

For evolution, I don't know where to begin. Every time I use it (more or less), it grays out every minute or two for about 20 seconds, and then come back to life. It does this when composing messages, when browsing my inbox, whenever, wherever, and it's driving me crazy.

I started another thread about this here, (http://backports.ubuntuforums.com/showthread.php?t=959789&page=2) but I haven't yet been able to find a solution (and that thread is now closed).

Solved by reinstalling Intrepid. I think a new user would have done it to, but changing the ownership of all my files properly is hard.
