IP Laws inparticular, I live in the usa and let me say for being "The land of the free" we don't have alot of freedom in our technology compaired to other developed countries. For example in other parts of the world people can distribute and download propriatary codecs (win32 and encrypted dvd) for free and legally, as well as using emulators and roms with no legal reprocusions (as far as I know please correct me if i'm wrong) We can't legally do these things in america and it sucks. My political question is does anyone here think that our new president will do anything to bring about IP law reforms?

Nope, I think this new guy is gonna make things tougher. I personally think that he has alot of hidden agendas, but which president honestly didn't. Obama is all about the money and the first company or mpaa or riaa to throw things at him he will take.
