Desktop icons as just text?

I like to have the icons on my desktop as just text (ie no icon image) but can't seem find anyway of doing this?

Transparent icons might work...no idea how to implement that though (if even possible).

Would that be for every single icon? Or are you thinking for, say, only 'Home', 'Trash', 'Music', etc?
