View Full Version : What other distro's do you use.

I have been trying to move to linux as my main OS.
Honestly, it has been hard for me. I guess bad habits are hard to break :-)

I am curious what other distro's you find comparable to Ubuntu. I'd like to try other OS's out as well and it would help with some input to narrow the playing field :)

Thinking maybe trying Fedora 10?

Fedora, Sabayon and Mepis are my other favourites.

Slackware, Arch, and SliTaz are my favorite Linux distros.

I also like NetBSD, DesktopBSD, and OpenSolaris.

You're also a rabid maniac.

Me, I consider Ubuntu, Mandriva, and Arch to be the best I've seen so far. Sabayon seemed all right but it felt like everything was in slo-mo.

I also use Linpus Lite (its based of fedora 9, I think)

Its not like Ubuntu but I still like it

I enjoy Arch Linux. I liked Ubuntu at first, but as time wore on I wanted something a little more speedy. That's where Arch shines; you get to decide what is installed on your system, which is a great way to stay low on resources.

Fedora, Mandriva and OpenSUSE are my favorites, and I dabble with Ubuntu, Mint, Sidux and Gentoo/Sabayon

PClinuxOS
Mandriva
Dream Linux
And Linux Mint

For non Linux Distros that I enjoy -

OpenSolaris
ReactOS (yes I test this in a virtual machine)
