I've sorta been using AWN's stacks which, coincidentally, looks a lot like Leopard's stacks ... well, without teh gay

What do you guys use? AWN has that stupid autohide problem on my computer & honestly it's not worth fixing, it's too beta. I actually close AWN most of the time & just use ubuntu's bookmarks & places

I honestly think Leapord's implemenation looks 10x better than AWN's implementation

yeah, easily. But it's not OSS so i'm obligated to criticize it.

or put a shortcut on the gnome-panel. I prefer gnome-do though. If you don't like it, try the deskbar panel applet

Moved to Desktop Environments.

this thread isn't about desktop environments, dammit
Anyway, I had some inspiration last night, why not use its OSSness to my advantage. I don't know python, but i've hacked ringsensors before & I think I maybe could turn stacks into a screenlet.
Then maybe treat it as a widget & turn on widget layer in compiz so i can press F9 & it shows on top of everything. It can also be spiraled or hexagonal instead of penile.
Anyone wanna help? I'm a bit lazy & programming, like sex, is tons more fun in teams.
it's very well commented code
