Monitor Blinking

I just upgraded to 8.10 and my monitor is flashing (going blank for a second or two then coming back on. I have a SiS 315 Pro video card and a Sony CRT.

Any ideas why this has just started?

If you still have this issue try:

Disabling the Screen Saver
Stop and disable the XRander Service (Instructions Here (http://blog.nixternal.com/2008.10.22/kubuntu-intrepid-dual-monitor-blinking/))
