Hello people can someone help me with one problem i have CANON LBP-660 and i need to find its driver for WINDOWS 2000 or XP can you tell me were can i downloud it for free and how i install it.thanks

CUPS is the Linux printing utility, and it is awesome. It apparently has your printer driver in there, and it works. I just go to System: Administration: Printing -> New

It should autoconnect, pull in drivers and such, but it's been a while since I've tried. If doing that doesn't work, I'm sure theres a command line way to do it too.

These sites have the drivers for 2000 and xp.

Actually, I just reinstalled 8.10 yesterday and completely formatted the partition (no files left).

I didn't even have to open Printing, I just plugged in my printer, turned it on, waited about 30 seconds, and a pop up told me it was ready to print (and it just has).
