Hello,
I had one of my towers fail on my tonight. I have placed the hard drive from my Ubuntu x86_64 board into my i586 computer.
When I boot up all goes well until after Grub when I get the error "This kernel requires an x86_64 CPU but only detected a i586 CPU."
Can someone provide me with some ideas to make ubuntu grab a new kernel for this new CPU without data loss?
Cheers,
Brent.
