I am trying to install 8.10 on my Eee PC with the USB stick I made with the Ubuntu tool so I can dual boot with XP.

Step 4 of 7 in the installation process "prepare the disk" is frustrating me.

I have the following Partitions:
sda1 80GB NTFS, XP/apps/some data
sda2 30GB Not formatted
Free 50GB

During installation it will only allow me to install Ubuntu on sda1 when I would like to install it on sda2. I would also be willing to install it on the free space if we could make that happen.

Thanks in advance!
Mike.

Have you tried the Manual option when you are at the partition screen?

I just feel foolish now, when I clicked manual the whole bar went blue so I thought it was going to completely reformat my drive. Thanks taurus.
